Welcome to the TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS BLOCK OF THE MONTH pattern! Whether you are a store offering this as an official Block-of-the-Month program, a friendship group sewing together or you are an individual who has been inspired by this project, we want to Inspired by my love of vintage cross stitch samplers, this classic quilt is reminiscent of that kind of traditional handwork in both feel and in motif. As someone who dabbles ever so slightly in stitchery but whose true love is quilting, this project is my interpretation of a vintage cross stitch sampler… but in fabric! There is just something about those nostalgic cross stitch sampler images that draw me in every time… their play on scale and classical folk art motifs, their personalized date and name touches, their images of hearth & home… Every one of them is such a wonderful source of inspiration for my quilty design brain. A classic Halloween Sampler in the Fig Tree & Co tradition… full of classic blocks in a variety of sizes from 6” to 15” blocks. All blocks pieced with our simple straight forward piecing techniques with no templates or fancy rulers. Applique instructions provided for the starch method of appliqué for the big chunky appliqué pieces make your instroduction to appliqué simple and seamless. This sampler is created with our halloween collections for MODA fabrics, ALL HALLOW’S EVE and full color information for the fabrics are given inside the pattern. However, any good grouping of blacks, creams, oranges and grey can be used to make this heirloom project. Pattern has been broken down into 12 monthly installments and can easily be used by a store or friendship grouping for a BOM program. Size 66 x 72

This pattern is also known as Coda, and provides instructions to complete the blocks made in Steps 1-6 of the Bel Canto mystery quilt (Concerto - CQD01201, Sonata - CQD01202, Crescendo - CQD01203, Duet - CQD01204, Ensemble - CQD01205 and Nocturne - CQD01206).
