Aunt Martha's® Embroidery Transfer Pattern

#4032 Japanese Sashiko Embroidery

Sashiko (literally "little stabs") is a form of decorative reinforcement stitching (or functional embroidery) from Japan. Traditionally used to reinforce points of wear, or to repair worn places or tears with patches, this running stitch technique is often used for purely decorative purposes in quilting and embroidery. The white cotton thread on the traditional indigo blue cloth gives sashiko its distinctive appearance.

Pattern is printed with a single-color heat transfer ink on a GIANT 18x24 inch sheet of paper.  Each design measures approximately 5-6 inches.  The Transfer with your iron, stitch, and enjoy! Envelope not included.

Decorate t-shirts, jackets, blankets, towels, napkins, aprons, pillows, bedroom linens, needlepoint canvas, quilt blocks, fabric, and more.
