¿In this pattern, you will learn how to create accordion gussets for an expandable zipper pocket, make a cardslot lining, create five different pocket views, & use varying hardware for different looks. You will learn a bias tape interior finish which also aids in Leah’s structure. As an Intermediate Beginner pattern, you must have experience working with zipper by-the-yard, installing snaps & sewing through thick seams. ¿¿This pattern was written for home decor and/or bottomweight fabrics such as cotton canvas, duck cloth, and denim with weights of ~6-8 oz/sq yard. The Lining is based on quilt cotton and woven fabric with similar weights of ~4 oz/sq yard, such as linen or chambray. The layers can begin to add up (especially in View B with the piping,) so make sure your machine can handle the fabric thicknesses.
