The 1” batting tape from Callie Del® is the perfect solution for joining two or more pieces of batting together on smaller projects. This lightweight stabilizer won’t gum up your machine, or add bulk to your project. • Machine quilting – easily add a piece of batting to a project where needed. • Hand quilting – soft enough you won’t even notice when needling through. • Stabilize seams, bias edges, and straight hems. • Reinforce edges of bags, tote bag handles, and other craft projects. • Works with 100% cotton, poly/cotton blends, and polyester battings. Protect your work surface accordingly. Use Instructions: Note* It is always recommended to test the product on a scrap piece from your project before applying to the entire piece so you can adjust pressing times and heat as needed. 1. Preheat your iron to a medium or wool setting with no steam. 2. If using scraps of batting, it’s best to overlap their edges by a few inches and cut a wavy line through both pieces at the same time. Discard the scraps, and smooth the batting back together before applying batting tape. 3. For best results, try to keep the newly cut edges no less the 1/2in from the edges of the tape. 4. Place the rough side – or glue side – against the batting. Cover with a light pressing cloth, or Teflon sheet. Press and hold the iron in place for 8-10 seconds. Repeat by lifting the iron and placing it over the next area, slightly overlapping the first until the entire line is bonded together. 5. Allow to cool before testing adhesion, and repeat pressing if necessary. 6. Proceed with quilting to complete project.

Heat Press Batting Together is 1-1/2in x 15 yard roll cloth tape that will fuse two edges of batting together. It's soft, its thin, it stretches, its needle easy for hand or machine quilting. This can be used on any batting fabric content. Directions for using HEAT Press Batting Together: Iron Settings are Most Important when applying tape. Irons with Teflon plates can use low cotton to fuse tape. Irons without a teflon plate use the new instructions below. - Test your iron with Tape and batting. 100% polyester batting...low setting.. (high synthetic) and slide the heat of the iron across the batting quickly. - If needed use an appliqué sheet over the tape on the high loft 100% polyester. - Test all synthetic mixed battings – usually a wool setting works well - You may find that the batting looks flat after application with the heat but when it cools the batting is fluffy again. - With a large quilt batting 93” and adding more width, I use weights on either side of the batting to hold it in place - Simply lay tape over cut edges and slide the iron over the tape without any pressure – “smooth out the tape” with the heat of the iron. The batting tape needs only be applied to one side of the batting. It holds through washings and dry cleanings. It doesn’t gum up the needles and can be stitched by hand or by any machine. Tuscany Cotton Wool Blend is a wonderful combination of 80% fine cotton and 20% superwashed wool. It is designed for hand quilting, as well as machine and long-arm projects. This Tuscany blend will resist bunching and fiber migration. The addition of the wool adds loft, which gives greater detail to the stitching pattern. Wool also lends a nice drape and provides softness without compromising the stability of the batting. It is perfect for wall-hangings or bed quilts. Tuscany Cotton Wool is specifically designed to be used with medium or dark colored fabrics. If used with white or very light fabrics, unbleached cotton can slightly darken the light colors. Quilts with this blend of fibers can be washed many times and will get softer over time. Gentle machine washing and flat drying suggested. You may experience shrinkage of 3-5% and it may be quilted up to 4” apart. We recommend that the quilt maker spend some time learning about this product before using it on a major project. Make samples using this batting to see how it launders and how it needles, both by hand and by machine, so that you can obtain the look you want in your final project.

• Made of: 80% Fine Cotton and 20% Super-Washed Wool
• Needle Punched
• Non-fusible

• Space between stitches: Up to 4in
• Loft: High
• Washing/drying instructions: Machine Wash (Prewashing not recommended)

[Product Specifications]

Tuscany Wool is a favorite choice for both hand and machine quilters. The loft and resilience inherent to the wool fibers allow quilting designs to show off to great advantage. This Tuscany batt is made with the very finest superwashed wool that is carded and resin bonded to retard bearding. The superwash process successfully smooths the scales on wool fibers. This makes the wool pleasant to the touch and less likely to shrink. The natural fiber breathes, allowing excess heat to disperse away from the body. The tiny fibers trap air which creates insulation in this lightweight batt. The loft retention is excellent. We suggest washing items made using Tuscany Wool in cool water by hand and laying out flat to dry. If you prefer to wash by machine, place settings on gentle cycle/no spin/cool water. Be especially cautious with front loading washers as the intense spin cycle on these machines can be very hard on quilts. You may experience shrinkage of 3-5% and it may be quilted up to 3in apart. We recommend that the quilt maker spend some time learning about this product before using it on a major project. Make samples using this batting to see how it launders and how it needles, both by hand and by machine, so that you can obtain the look you want in your final project.

• Made of: 100% Wool
• Not Needle Punched
• Space between stitches: Up to 3in
• Loft: Low
• Washing/drying instructions: Cool water by hand and laying out flat to dry.
• Best use: Quilts

Tuscany Unbleached Cotton is especially designed to give a soft hand and an even appearance. Exceptionally easy to quilt by hand or machine, it is the softest cotton batting on the market today. Made with only the finest cotton fibers, this clean, unbleached, long staple virgin cotton batting proudly displays the Cotton Incorporated Seal. Containing no scrim or binders, this 100% cotton product is needle punched to resist bunching and shifting. Tuscany Unbleached Cotton is specifically designed to be used with medium or dark colored fabrics. If used with white or very light fabrics, unbleached cotton can slightly darken the light colors. Prewashing is not recommended. Used straight from the package, the batt will shrink after quilting to create the desired look of antique puckering when washed. Cotton quilts can be washed many times and become softer and more beautiful with time.
