Be sure to measure your iron before sewing. NOTE: This dimensional bag has multiple layers and requires binding curved edges. It is recommended for intermediate/advanced sewists using a sewing machine that can handle bulk. Finished sizes: SMALL: 6¼""H x 8½""W x 3""D at top, 6¼""H x 9¾""W x 5¾""D at bottom LARGE: 8½""H x 8""W x 4¾""D at top, 8½""H x 10""W x 7¾""D at bottom NOTE TO CUSTOMERS: Out to Lunch 2.0 is an update of our popular Out to Lunch pattern which was originally released in 2016. You will LOVE this new version! We also filmed an Add-on Video to help you with the more unique or challenging aspects of the pattern. Note that if you are working with the ORIGINAL Out to Lunch pattern, these videos will be helpful for that, too. However, since we’ve added a second size to this pattern and made significant changes to piece names, techniques, illustrations, and more, we’d suggest that you upgrade to the latest version. The Out to Lunch 2.0 pattern includes a coupon to get the Add-On Video at no charge and we know you will appreciate the new and improved version of the pattern. You’ll love its large easily-accessible interior. Slip and zippered pockets plus expanding dividers organize everything from personal needs to water bottles. Carry with quick-grab handles or use the adjustable padded straps to carry as a backpack. A trolley sleeve on back makes travel extra easy! NOTE: This project has many pieces and multiple layers so is recommended for intermediate to advanced sewists using a sewing machine that can handle bulk. Finished size: 15in H x 11in W x 4-3/4in D at top, 15in H x 14-1/2in W x7-1/4in D at bottom CLASS INFO: Courtside is an involved project that makes a great class for intermediate to advanced sewists. Students need a machine that can handle bulk, so it won't be appropriate for many small take-to-class machines. If you are a machine dealer, use this project to demonstrate how well your machine handles the layers. (Be sure to watch the Add-on Video for tips!) We'd suggest a series of four half-day classes for this project. Plan to demo each step in each class so that what isn't finished during class can be assigned as homework to finish before the next class. In the first class, students can complete steps II and III of the pattern to prepare the zippers, bias binding, fuse interfacings, prepare handles, straps and tabs. In the second class, students will complete step IV to prepare all the pockets for the project. In the third class, students will complete step V. Prepare Inner Divider, step VI. Prepare Zipper Loop, and steps VII. Prepare Body Front and VIII. Prepare Body Back. In the fourth and final class, students will complete step IX to assemble the organizer and bind the raw edges. We recommend that students read the pattern and watch the Add-on Videos before coming to class. To make best use of class time, we also recommend that they come to class with everything cut out and labeled for their project and that they complete the basic steps to cut and quilt the fabrics for the project. So, they should complete all of step I. Cut and Quilt on pages 2 and 3 BEFORE coming to class. Add-on Video notice: There is an Add-on Video available for this pattern. The Add-on Video is specially designed to support specific parts of the pattern and help the customer learn our best techniques. It doesn't replace the pattern -- it will enhance their sewing experience. To support local quilt shops, related paper patterns include a coupon for the value of the Add-on Video. This is a $5.00 value. Customers can then use the coupon to get the video for free on the ByAnnie.com website.

NOTE TO SHOP OWNERS: Project Bags 2.0 is an update of Project Bags which was released in 2013. Just like a new edition of a textbook, this new version of the pattern features improved design and layout, easier-to-follow steps and diagrams, and our newest and best techniques. We have also filmed an Add-On Video for the project to help you and your customers make the bags. CLASS INFO: Project Bags 2.0 makes a great class for all levels of sewists, from beginners to more advanced makers. We'd suggest at least a three- to four-hour class OR a full-day class for this project. If offering this as a half-day class, we recommend that students plan to make just one bag (perhaps the Small or Medium) and that they come to class with their fabric quilted and everything cut out for their project. So, they should complete all of step I. Cut and Quilt on pages 2 and 3 before coming to class. Project Bags 2.0 is a great class for beginning sewists. For beginners, we recommend teaching this as a full-day class so that you will have time to cover all this basics. As they make this simple project bag, students will learn skills for rotary cutting, quilting, piecing, making a simple interfaced handle, working with vinyl, inserting a zipper, attaching borders, and attaching a mitered binding. IMPORTANT NOTE TO TEACHERS: While the outer dimensions have stayed the same, we have changed some of the dimensions of the pieces on the front of these Project Bags. We have also added linings on pieces, including the zipper strips. If you teach classes and have students working from both the original and the 2.0 patterns, remind students to carefully follow the cutting. marking, and assembly instructions in the pattern which they are using. If students are working from the original pattern, we do suggest that they add fusible interfacing (and linings if they have sufficient fabric) to the zipper strips and border strips as directed in the new pattern. Understitching the border pieces as directed in the new pattern is also very helpful, so we suggest that they incorporate that change in their project.
