  • Pattern is fat quarter friendly.  Skill Level: Beginner.
  • The Challenge Star quilt design is a modern take on the 9" star-themed quilt block that I made in 2013 while living and working on the International Space Station.
  • NASA and I invited crafters from around the world to create star-themed quilt blocks to be stitched together to create a global community quilt. NASA received over 2400 star-themed blocks from around the world.  I hope that you enjoy quilting this updated version of my made-in-space Challenge Star block!
