About this item

  • Gather is a 54" x 68" quilt pattern.
  • Raising crops--corn and soybeans--then using the crops to feed our animals is the only thing I know.
  • I was born and a family farm and now live on my husbands' family farm.
  • Being a steward of this land is very important to us.
  • My husband is very proud of the fact that he feeds 150 people with the products we raise.
  • So designing this quilt with the corn and beans block is quite personal to me.
  • The blocks represent the whole sections of land around us that grow these crops--each section is divided from the other by a dusty gravel road.
  • And together we all feed the world.
